Ontario Courts Directory

Addresses, phone numbers & counter hours for every region

This directory compiles Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Justice locations into a single, searchable list. Data comes from publicly available government sources and is refreshed quarterly. Last updated: July 2025. If you notice an error, please email us.

How to Use This Directory

  1. Identify your court level. Criminal jury trials usually sit in the Superior Court of Justice, while most preliminary matters are heard in the Ontario Court of Justice.
  2. Search or scroll. Type a city name in the filter bar or scroll to the regional heading that matches your summons letter.
  3. Tap to call. On mobile, the phone number links open your dialer. Voicemail greeting lists counter hours and weather closures.
  4. Check your summons for exceptions. Some jury panels report to satellite counters—always confirm the exact reporting address.
Pro tip: Urgent criminal filings can be accepted at any counter within the same judicial region after 3 p.m.—helpful if traffic delays you.

Many downtown locations use city lots or private garages that charge between $8 and $25 per day. Some rural courthouses offer free surface parking. Always keep the receipt—parking is a reimbursable expense for jurors. Our compensation guide details claim limits.

Bring your summons letter, government photo ID, and any filing materials in duplicate. For accessibility escorts, carry a doctor’s letter outlining required accommodations— see our accessibility guide.

No. All Ontario courts close on federal and provincial statutory holidays. If your report date falls immediately after a long weekend, confirm counter hours by phone in case of weather-related delays.

Basic public Wi-Fi exists in most large centres (Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton) but may be slower or blocked for streaming. Plan to download documents before arrival.

Some locations have drop-boxes that time-stamp envelopes. However, jury summons responses should be handed to a clerk to avoid processing delays. If you must use a drop-box, include a self-addressed stamped envelope for confirmation.

Each courthouse reception desk has direct numbers. Alternatively, call Legal Aid Ontario at 1-800-668-8258 and provide the address of your courthouse. They will route you to the correct duty counsel office.
